Within a polylobe, ‘ḍuriba / fī zaman al-ʿabd / al-rāji raḥmat / Allāh Muḥammad ibn’ (‘Struck in the time of the servant, hopeful of Allah’s mercy, Muhammad son of’ in Arabic), continued on the reverse. Rev. Within a circle, ‘al-sulṭān / al-saʿīd al-shahīd / Tughluq Shāh sana / thalāth [wa] thalāthīn wa sabʿa miʾa’ (‘the sultan, the fortunate, the martyr, Tughluq Shah, year 733’ in Arabic).
